Richard Williams
Richard Williams – Founder, HBHS
I was born on October 26, 1970, in Orlando, Florida. I’m a proud graduate of Jones High School in Orlando, Class of 1988. A dedicated professional and community-minded individual, I began my career in the culinary industry in 1986. Through years of hard work and commitment to this craft, I earned my certification as a professional chef in 2006. I’ve always been an involved father, a hands-on Granddad and stand up Husband, which are some of the highlights of my life.
In addition to my culinary background, I currently serve as an Operations Leader for Wonder, where I continue to demonstrate strong leadership and operational excellence.
As a founder of HBHS, an initiative rooted in pride, community, and connection among Historically Black high school alumni.
I’ve been happily married to a very supportive wife, Melvina Williams since 2015. Who has been there for me through all my endeavors. Outside of my professional life, I have a deep passion for fashion and proudly considers myself the biggest Florida Gators football fan on the planet. Above all, I find great joy and pleasure in Family, supporting, encouraging today’s youth and always striving to help guide the next generation toward success.

Mark Myers
Mark Myers
Co-Founder of HBHS
Born July 13, 1973, a devoted father, husband, mentor, and community advocate with a lifelong commitment to uplifting and empowering young people. Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, I am a proud graduate of Evans High School class of 91, where I developed many of the values that continue to guide my life today—leadership, perseverance, and service to others are a few of my strong traits.
Throughout my life, I’ve maintained a deep connection to my community and a passion for helping the next generation succeed. As a mentor and youth sports coach, I have dedicated countless hours to guiding young athletes both on and off the field. I believe that sports provide more than competition—they teach discipline, teamwork, accountability, and confidence. My focus is on helping young people build character and life skills that extend far beyond athletics.
My work in the community reflects the belief that strong neighborhoods are built through mentorship, opportunity and unity. Through collective initiatives, partnering with School, community events, and youth engagement programs, I strive to create spaces where young people can grow, connect, and discover their potential. My leadership is driven by a desire to inspire youth to believe in themselves and to understand the power they hold to shape their own futures.
In addition to my community work, I am a proud family man, a True Florida Gators Fanatic🐊. I am married to a very beautiful and compassionate, Sheree Myers… who shares my commitment to family values and community impact. Together, we believe in the importance of giving and setting a positive example for future generations.
I live by the quote that defines my philosophy and outlook on life:

This belief reflects my understanding that individuals are deeply connected to their communities, and that by investing in others, we ultimately strengthen ourselves and the world around us.
Major Wiggins
Major Wiggins
I am a proud graduate of Jones High School in Orlando, Florida.
Class of 1987. Born on July 23, 1969. My journey reflects a lifelong commitment to be a leader, a mentor, an entrepreneur and have a lasting impact on my community.
I was a former All-Conference basketball player at University of North Carolina Wilmington, where I earned that recognition three out of four years. I graduated with a degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Communications. My early professional career was rooted in service and mentorship, working as a youth case manager at Barry Robinson Psychiatric Center and as a Case Manager for Big Brothers, where I developed a passion for guiding and uplifting young people.
I later transitioned into the communications industry, beginning with Bell Atlantic, which evolved into Verizon. During my tenure, I continued my career as a consultant with Verizon FiOS, where I spent several years building strong client relationships, demonstrating sales and operational excellence.
Expanding into the financial sector, I became a Loan Officer with HSBC, where I was a top performer for seven consecutive years. During this time, I also launched Budget Bug Extermination, further showcasing my entrepreneurial spirit. I later partnered with Loftin Exterminating, where I remain active today.
As a visionary entrepreneur, I am the co-owner of Victory Rivers Burger Bistro, a thriving restaurant and cigar lounge known for its unique blend of dining, culture, and community engagement. My passion for bringing people together led to the creation of G3 Entertainment, an event company responsible for large-scale experiences, including the signature All White Cigar & Wine Festival in Chesapeake, Virginia along with high-profile events featuring live entertainment and curated social experiences.
As a co-founder of HBHS, I'm dedicated to preserving the legacy, culture and contributions of Historically Black High Schools while building a national platform that connects alumni, celebrates excellence, and inspires future generations.
Beyond my professional accomplishments, I am a devoted husband of over 24 years to my wife, Sheron. A proud father of five, and a grandfather of six. I’m deeply committed to family, mentorship, and creating opportunities that empower the next generation to succeed.
